C. Standards for Solid Fuel Fired Small Scale Appliances
   

 

The work started in 1992 and is carried out in the technical committee CEN TC 295 and in its working groups. The title of the technical committee is Residential Solid Fuel Burning Appliances. Wood is only one solid fuel among others like coal, lignite, coke etc. The work is done in eight (8) workgroups, which all has a nominated convenor, who is leading the work.

  • EN 13240:2001 Room heaters fired by solid fuel - Requirements and test methods
  • EN 14785:2006 Residential space heating appliances fired by wood pellets - Requirements and test methods
  • EN 15250:2007 Slow heat release appliances fired by solid fuel - Requirements and test methods
